ALL Rising 11th Grade students:
The IB Diploma Programme Orientation Week is a crucial link between the IB Middle Years Programme of grades 6-10 and the strenuous Diploma Programme of years 11 and 12. It is required for students who are planning to be full Diploma Candidates and recommended for students who are Certificate Candidates. We will split our time during the week among NYU, the BHS library, the Brooklyn Public Library, and a service trip yet to be determined.
Throughout this week, students will work on teambuilding and ways to support each other in the years ahead, be introduced to the requirements of the Diploma Programme build critical reading, research, and presentation skills, examine themselves as knowers, humans, and students, get free school supplies and free pizza, work with the fabulous Human Root, get their Brooklyn Public Library cards, go on trips, and meet a panel of former IB Diploma students!
Students in need of a metrocard should reach out to Jackie Carrier at Jacqueline.Carrier@k497.org after July 20th.
Please RSVP or send questions to Rebecca Crawford at email@example.com, or through the Remind App, a free download; just join the parent group with class code @diplomacoh.
