Dear BHS Parents,

Please come. The PTA needs your help in organizing our first annual auction. We need committee chairs to organize the event as well as get donations for the online auction. This is a huge undertaking and requires lots of input from all who can donate time or services.

Volunteers needed for:

Event Planning –

Scope out venues, pricing, food/catering/drinks (parents who own restaurants, local food shops that would donate), ice, décor, music/dj, rentals, servers, set up, clean up. Set date (check with school and PTA for available dates — no holiday, other school event conflicts).

Donations –

Reaching out to sponsors, parents, and local businesses for items both big and small:

Restaurants Gift certificates

Classes- Exercise, yoga, cooking, music, art, sewing/knitting, etc.

Gifts- Artwork, special handbags, certificates to dinner, store items (case of wine, books, etc.)

Vacations- Country/ski weekends, donation of frequent flyer miles, use of second home or apartment in another city.

Events- Sporting, concert, theater, museum exhibit, dinner with an expert/celebrity in a particular field of interest (cuisine, art, literature, sports, media, etc.)

Services- Hair salon, shopping or running errands, catering, cooking meals, family photography, analog to digital conversion of all those old photos and music, etc.
